Not long ago I attended an Art Battle event for the first time, and it sparked the idea of seeking discomfort and challenging myself to push myself forward and into the next step, where instead of my camera on a tripod there would be real eyes observing a collective of artists struggle through their imperfections and yet come out the other side having created works of art that hold the memory of that moment of people gathering and experiencing something like this.
